Jason Taussig:
From pilot's license to full-time career
Jason Taussig says he remembers traveling by airplane when he was fairly young and becoming
hooked. But it wasn't till he reached junior high that it dawned
on him that he could make a career in aviation. He earned
his private pilot certificate in 1998 and began to earn his first
aviation pay check as a flight instructor in 2002. Taussig holds
a Master's of Science in Aeronautics with dual specialization in
Education Technology and Safety Sciences from Embry-Riddle
Aeronautical University. He currently manages the emergen-
cy exercise and training development programs at Denver
International Airport. His team designs more than 30 exercises
and trainings each year. The team also manages the training for
more than 11,000 airfield drivers.
