22 airportbusiness November 2014 UNDER Beth Rosenbaum: Challenges herself to learn something new every day Work outside of your comfort zone, don't settle and you will learn something new every day, this is the motto Beth Rosenbaum lives by in her career as Assistant Aviation Director for the City of Sugar Land. Rosenbaum began working at Sugar Land Regional Airport in 2006 and worked her way up to her current position, where she is responsible for the airport's budget, fuel monitoring and pricing, contracts, leases, and managing airport grants. She analyzes projected and historical fuel revenues in order to monitor spending trends and estimate the budgetary needs of the department. Her work in this area (establishing and maintaining the FIFO inventory process) has increased the airport's revenues substantially. Rosenbaum also serves as a liaison between the airport and its fuel provider, a multi-million dollar contract critical to airport operations. She also works with high profile airport tenants to ensure the contractual obligations of their leases are in order. She teams with airport management staff and the city's budget office to set annual budgets for the city's five aviation programs. DID YOU KNOW? ROSENBAUM'S dream car is "Eleanor," a 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback. CONGRATULATIONS Elizabeth Rosenbaum for being named to Airport Business Magazine 's "40 Under 40" !! Shell Aviation Assistant Aviation Director City of Sugar Land, Texas Age: 31 Years in Aviation: 9
