This board of highly visible, recognized and influential experts willing to posi- tion their reputation, knowledge and energy with a media outlet is critical to a publication's success. Airport Business is pleased to announce that it has created just such an overarching editorial board to help lead the magazine toward the future. These board members have agreed to aid us in crafting a magazine that delivers the high level of content you've come to expect over the past 28 years. TOM HENDRICKS President and CEO National Air Transportation Association (NATA) Tom Hendricks brings to Airport Business an exten- sive background in aviation, with airlines, in gen- eral aviation and as the president and CEO of the National Air Transportation Association, a position he's held since July 2012. Prior to joining NATA, he was senior vice president of safety, security and operations for Airlines for America (A4A) beginning in June 2010. In this role, he was responsible for the technical and operational functions of A4A and develop- ing and shaping A4A regulatory positions on flight operations, safety, engineering, air traffic management and security. He co-chaired both the ADS-B In Aviation Rulemaking Committee and the Working Subcommittee of the NextGen Advisory Committee. Prior to joining A4A, Hendricks over- saw day-to-day flight operations at Delta Air Lines as director of operations. The retired Air Force Reserve colonel and career fight pilot also served active duty as a U.S. Navy officer on the USS Midway and as an instructor pilot at the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School. DOM NESSI Deputy Executive Director/ Chief Information Officer Los Angeles World Airports As the chief information officer and deputy exec- utive director with Los Angeles World Airports for nearly seven years, Dom Nessi stands poised to bring his expertise in information manage- ment and technology to Airport Business. Nessi is responsible for all information management and technology functions at three airports: Los Angeles International Airport, Van Nuys Airport, and Ontario International Airport. His role includes oversight and management of all airfield and land- side support, business and administrative informa- tion systems and functions such as Common-Use Support Processing, flight and baggage information terminal paging, automated vehicle identification, airport badging system and parking systems. He also oversees all airport public safety security, including access control sys- tems, closed circuit TVs, video management systems, digital trunked radio, computer-aided dispatch and other security- related systems. Nessi also manages/supports the tech- nology component of major capital improvement projects. ROSEMARY VASSILIADIS Director of Aviation Clark County Department of Aviation Rosemary Vassiliadis brings to Airport Business a wealth of experience and knowl- edge in operating commercial service and general aviation airports. Vassiliadis was named Clark County Director of Aviation in March 2013, after serving as its deputy director of aviation since 1997. In her current role, she oversees all operations at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, as well as general aviation airports in North Las Vegas, Henderson, Jean and Overton, Nev. Vassiliadis, who manages the work of 1,500 employ- ees, is the 11th person to lead Clark County's aviation system since McCarran was established in 1948, and is the first woman to serve as director. Under her lead- ership, the airport has developed an industry-leading security program while maintaining a strong commit- ment to world-class customers. Since 2011, she has overseen McCarran's efforts as an executive board member of the U.S. Travel Association, an association that promotes American travel interests domestically and worldwide. airb_18-20_EditorialBoard.indd 18 5/2/14 9:49 AM
