As RIAC's CFO, he is responsible for accounting, finance, procurement, commercial programs, and information technology. Schattle continuously focuses on rightsizing RIAC to maintain its financial health while providing quality services and facilities for the traveling public. As RIAC's financial executive, Schattle led the issuance of two sepa- rate General Airport Revenue Bonds totaling over $166 million. These pro- ceeds were used to finance significant capital improvement projects and to refinance existing bonds at lower interest rates. He also led the team that executed an innovative loan and issued special financing bonds that were crucial to the construction of the $267 million InterLink Facility at T.F. Green Airport. Brian joined RIAC in 2004 and has been the financial executive on many projects and accomplishments. His successes have been critical in enhancing the facilities and services that RIAC provides. Brian led the issuance of two separate General Airport Revenue Bonds (2005 and 2008) to finance over $166 million of capital improvements at T.F. Green and the five other airports. — Kevin A. Dillon, President and CEO, Rhode Island Airport Corporation Over the past eight years Schattle has been the financial lead on the teams that negotiated and imple- mented several major agreements with airlines, rental car companies, and concessionaires. The airline agree- ments balance the financial needs of the airport with the needs of the air- lines. The rental car agreements con- tain financial terms and safeguards to ensure the continued success of the InterLink Facility and were necessary to secure its financing. New conces- sion agreements allowed for a com- plete renovation of concepts at T.F. Green Airport. These agreements also contain important financial terms that share revenue during periods of growth and protect RIAC with mini- mum financial guarantees.
