INDUSTRY INSIDER February/March 2016 airportbusiness 41 our budget. The ROI was built off of the budget amount. We expect to have the signs paid for within several years. THE SCOOP ON SALAME f Hitting the Green. I play a lot of golf when the weather permits. My family has really gotten into golf. It's really great for everybody to go out and be able to play. My 15-yer-old son is on the golf team now, and it's really a very enjoyable experience to be able to support his efforts by going out on a weekend, and playing together. f Entreprenuerial Spirit. I was constantly working in the family business from a very young age doing everything from mowing the grass for the various businesses my family had to working directly with customers. I learned early that you get to go home when the work is done--not whenever the shift is done. f Even though I am now working for an airport, I am still bringing this attitude of: How do we take it up a notch? What do we need to do to meet the customers' needs in this situation? f Legal Eagle. I am an attorney. When I first moved to Ohio, I had passed the Texas bar but hadn't taken the Ohio bar yet. The airport hired me in a temp to assist with litigation associated with an environmental issue. I used that foot in the door to fully get in the door. I have really enjoyed the dynamics because no two days are alike.
