Douglas Wilson: Never considered another path "I have never once vacillated on what I wanted to do for a living," says Wilson matter of factly. However cliché, he recalls gazing at the sky from the school yard to watch the small planes overhead prepare for a landing at the nearby Williamsburg-Jamestown Airport. He took his first flight at that airport at age 10, started working there when he was 16, and got his pilot's license there when he was 17. The rest is history. After graduating from Christopher Newport University with a Bache- lor's degree in business management, Wilson's career flight path took him to Signature Flight Support, where he began as a customer service representative in 1999 and worked his way up to corporate training manager by 2003. Three years later, he arrived at independent FBO Galvin Flying Services, where he began as the Director of Customer Service and Line Operations and later served as Director of Business Development and Marketing. In early 2014, Wilson landed at his next destination and formed FBO Partners, an aviation con- sulting company focused on professional asset management, advanced hangar and office leasing strategy, risk mitigation, marketing, media relations and advocacy for FBOs. DID YOU KNOW? WILSON once sang "I am 16 going on 17" with Charmian Carr, the actress who played Liesl von Trapp in the Sound of Music.
