Jeff Leonard: Thrives on challenges and innovative thinking Childhood family trips to the Oshkosh EAA fly-ins generated a flicker of interest in aviation, but Leonard says it was his first few years at Mead & Hunt that truly sparked his desire for an aviation career. Here, while completing his Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Leonard was exposed to a variety of civil disciplines and found himself gravitating toward the company's Aviation Services division. He says he finds it gratifying to see airports transform and grow, and to be part of the team that envisions con- cepts and turns them into reality. Since 2000, Leonard has gained expertise in project management, construction, supervision, pavement design, hangar and building layout, and cost estimating. As Practice Leader, a position he achieved in 2013, he establishes technical processes and procedures, oversees project teams and identifies industry trends.
