Jeff Leonard:
Thrives on challenges and innovative thinking
Childhood family trips to the Oshkosh EAA fly-ins generated a flicker of
interest in aviation, but Leonard says it was his first few years at Mead & Hunt
that truly sparked his desire for an aviation career. Here, while completing
his Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Leonard was
exposed to a variety of civil disciplines and found himself gravitating toward
the company's Aviation Services division. He says he finds it gratifying to see
airports transform and grow, and to be part of the team that envisions con-
cepts and turns them into reality. Since 2000, Leonard has gained expertise in
project management, construction, supervision, pavement design, hangar and
building layout, and cost estimating. As Practice Leader, a position he achieved
in 2013, he establishes technical processes and procedures, oversees project
teams and identifies industry trends.
