INDUSTRYNEWS America's Fastest Airports What are the fastest airports to zip through? The Huffngton Post recently gathered a compilation of data from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS), then averaged real-time, crowdsourced security wait times and compared expedited-screening options and airport layouts to come up with a list of the country's 10 speediest major airports. And they are: 1) Salt Lake City International Airport 2) Charlotte Douglas International Airport 3) San Diego International Airport 4) Tampa International Airport 5) Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport 6) Seattle-Tacoma International Airport 7) Hartsfeld-Jackson Atlanta International Airport 8) Boston Logan International Airport 9) Portland International Airport 10) Reagan National Airport Fuel Watch The following fuel prices were derived from transactions completed with the AVCARD credit card during May. Not all operations sell both jet-A and Avgas. The figures for jet fuel prices will be more representative than those for Avgas, due to the higher number of transactions recorded. Prices reflect all taxes and discounts. Data is supplied from AVCARD in consolidated format; individual transactions are not disclosed. www.aviationpros.com/10825506 8 airportbusiness June/July 2013 West Coast Jet–A: $5.02 Avgas: $6.04 South Central Jet–A: $4.64 Avgas: $5.76 Southeast Jet–A: $4.91 Avgas: $6.03 North Central North Central Jet–A: $4.92 Avgas: $6.13 Northeast Jet–A: $5.11 Avgas: $6.17
